About Us

Firm Foundations is a child care and preschool facility located in Elmer, New Jersey conveniently off Rt 40 and county highway 611.

At Firm Foundations, we support the whole child, creative, intellectual, and physical. Our goal is to provide a developmentally appropriate preschool curriculum and early education for infants and toddlers that support each child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth.

By providing a balance of well-planned teacher guided encounters along with child initiated activities, children grow and learn while having fun, exploring and embracing their own choices. More than just a daycare center, we nurture a love of learning and exploring. We embrace each child’s unique strengths and know that children must feel comfortable at school to be able to learn. Nurturing each child’s uniqueness is essential to building self-confidence. Since each child develops at his or her own pace, we foster a strong sense of self by giving positive praise to reinforce each child’s unique strengths.

The safety of your child and your peace of mind are of utmost importance to us. We go above and beyond to make sure our schools exceed the standards of the State of NJ, so you can rest assured our building is a safe environment for your loved ones.

Confidentiality plays a vital role in promoting respect for every individual and promoting a strong community.  Firm Foundations takes confidentiality very seriously and makes every effort to protect each family’s privacy.  Communications among staff and parents about a child should be kept confidential at all times.  We recommend that conversations about a child, behavior, or incident should be conducted in private, away from the child and other parents.
